House rules at Rainbow's End.

Short list. Nothing weird. Most of it is common sense for a small fishing camp where Liz and Chuck live on the property.

The short version:

Be kind to the other guests. Quiet by 10pm. Smoke outside, away from the trees. Pets stay leashed and off the grass where kids play. Disclose every guest and every pet at booking. Clean fish at the outdoor sink, never in the cottage. Leave the place the way you found it.

If any of this is a hard no, call Chuck before you book. (928) 368-9004

Check-in & check-out

Lake hours.

  • Check-in is 3pm. Check-out is 11am.

Other times by prior arrangement. Call ahead with an approximate arrival time so Chuck knows when to expect you. Early check-in is not available on Saturdays. Late check-out is not available on Fridays.

  • After-hours arrival

Call ahead and Chuck will meet you at the cottage. He lives on the property. No lockbox guessing games.

Quiet hours & courtesy

This is a small property. Sound carries.

  • Quiet time starts at 10pm

Have a good time. Be a good neighbor. After 10pm, voices and music drop. Approval for a later cutoff is case by case, ask Chuck.

  • Guests only on the property

Only registered guests are allowed to congregate on the property. If you want to invite friends over for the day, call Chuck first.

  • Fireworks are never allowed

This is a heavily wooded area. No exceptions, ever.

Smoking

Outside only. Carefully.

  • No smoking in the cottages

$100 discovery charge if smoking is found to have happened inside a cottage.

  • Smoking outside

Use extra precaution. The property is heavily wooded with dry tinder on the ground in season. Dispose of cigarettes in an ashtray, never on the ground.

Pets

Select cottages. Strict rules.

  • Select pet-friendly cottages

Not every cottage allows pets. Call Chuck and he will match a unit to your dog. See pet-friendly cottages →

  • $19 per pet, flat, per stay

Not per night. Two-pet max. Friendly pets only.

  • Pets must be leashed outside

State leash law applies. Pets must stay off the grass areas where children play. Pets must be supervised at all times and never left alone in the cottage. Aggressive dogs are not allowed.

  • Disclosed at booking

Every pet must be disclosed when you book. $100 discovery fee per occurrence for any undisclosed pet. Clean up after your dog. A scoop is available in the community area.

Parking

One vehicle per cottage.

  • One vehicle per room in the main lot

Parking space is limited. If you have additional vehicles, call ahead. Chuck will work it out before you arrive, not after.

Fires & fish-cleaning

Outdoor stuff.

  • No outside fires except in designated fire pits

Three community fire pits at the waterfront. When fire restrictions are in effect, no outdoor fires of any kind, including charcoal. Chuck will tell you the current restriction level at check-in.

  • Clean fish at the outdoor sink, never in the cottage

An outdoor fish-cleaning sink is provided. Cleaning fish in the cottage is not allowed.

Disclosure & safety

What needs to be told up front.

  • Undisclosed people or pets

$100 discovery fee per occurrence for any undisclosed person or pet found in the cottage. Disclose at booking, not at the door.

  • Firearms must be disclosed at check-in

Any firearms must be disclosed to the office at check-in. Paintball guns and BB guns are not allowed for use on the property.

  • No moving the furniture

Beds, picnic tables, and other furniture stay where they are unless the office gives permission first.

Cleanup & damages

Leave it the way you found it.

  • Minimal housekeeping during your stay

Take care of the cottage while you're in it. Full cleaning happens after you check out.

  • Mess fee

If a cottage is left a mess, an additional $25 minimum mess fee is assessed.

  • Damages & theft

Every cottage gets a post-stay inspection. By booking, you acknowledge responsibility for any damages or theft during your stay. Charges go to the card on file.

Boats

Rented at the property dock.

  • Cabin guests get first pick

Cabin guests reserve first. Walk-ups are accepted only when boats are still open. Boats are not available until you've checked in.

  • Boat rentals are non-cancellable

Reserved boat rentals cannot be cancelled. If weather shuts down the dock the morning of, Chuck holds the next open slot at no extra charge.

  • Adult required, liability waiver required
